Panasonic SC-HTR310 - can I add more speakers?

Hi all,

I'm considering buying a SC-HTR310 stand for my (yet to arrive) THPZ80B + DMPBD35. Can anyone tell me if I can link up rear surround speakers to this or am I stuck with just the 3.1 channels at the front?

Thank you!
Sparkly

It is not possible to add rear speakers to the SC-HTR310. The best you can have is Dolby Virtual Speakers.

I have a SC-HTR310 and I am happy with it. It is a very neat solution and the sound is more than acceptable, although clearly not as good as a full-on 5.1 system. For me, the benefit of no wires/speakers outweighs the reduction in 5.1 effects, which I think you only really get when listening to stuff very loudly anyway...

Re: Panasonic SC-HTR310 - can I add more speakers?

Just bought a TH46PZ80 from Costco (£770) - it's being delivered tomorrow. I also bought the SC-HTR310 (£300!!!). I currently have Sky+ and am on the waiting list for Sky+HD. Please could you advise me as to the best way to set-up the TV, Sky+ & Stand and also the best set-up when the Sky+HD arrives? Many thanks in advance
