Spike problems with wooden floors

I'm looking to move house soon and will most likely be renting again. However my home cinema gear is throwing up a bit of a problem.

Most of the places I'm looking at have wooden flooring all over the place which is fine to me except my speaker stands and AV stand have wickedly sharp spikes on the bottom mean any flooring will get scratched to buggery.

Can anyone recommend a tough, strong and spike resistant material for me to place my stuff on that doesn't look hideous?

Or you could just buy some proper atacama spike shoes for £13, they come in black or silver.

Although my RS6's came with rather handy rubber soled feet type things as well as spikes, which I thought was a nice touch.

Re: Spike problems with wooden floors

Coins was the first thing I thought of which would be fine for the speaker stands but navigating the really heavy AV rack would have been problematic. However the spike shoes look like they may very well do the job. Thanks guys!
