Im looking for a bog standard black glass, black legged unit for my girlfriends room. The ideal size would be 900mm wide so the lcd fits snug and the unit fits in the space she has. 900mm stands are hard to come buy so the next size down is 800mm wide. She always needs the corners to be angled and won't be able to fit in any stand above 900mm.

I've seen a cheap stand on ebay at 800mm wide but they only recommend it for 32"

Do they only recommend 32" because of the width of the sets, ie 32 will fit but a 37 will over hang? Her 37" samsung should fit fine on the stand but over hang maybe 6cm either side. Which for me and her is no biggie.

I've emailed them asking for a max weight the stand can hold as her lcd is around 20kg. If the stand can take around 30 - 40kg (think most 800mm wide stands do) do you think i'd be ok to buy it?

I don't wanna spend loads on a stand as its only for a bedroom and soon we will be looking for our own place and the stand probably won't be used.

Dont buy the rubbish from ebay i know it say for 37" lcd tv or something or other, but its what they mean it it will take weight its ok there about 18 wide stay well away junk !!

Thanks for reply bud but that stand is way to big, I need something smaller and that has angled corners so it fits in the space.

The stand from ebay is the perfect shape and its all black aswell. They eventually emailed back saying it would hold 40kg. I know its not going to be the best stand but it won't be getting moved and its for a bedroom. Are they really that bad that I should stay away?

The lcd will over hang by about 6cm either side, is that really going to be a problem?
