Firstly I should say hello - this is my first post on the avforums site.

Secondly I'm in need of a decent stand for my shiny new tv - I managed to strech the budget and go for a Panasonic TH-42PZ80 which (thanks to a friend of the family who works for argos) I managed to get for £688.50.

I did take argos up on their half price stand offer and ended up with this

The main problem I have with it is that the middle shelf rests on three tiny L shaped screw in pieces of metal around 15mm wide, it's no where near stable enough. Given that argos are charging £129.99 for this stand normally, I wonder who in their right mind would pay that for it?

Anyway, the stand is going to go in the corner of a modern apartment room - wooden floors and white walls, and it needs to be glass. I'd prefer it in black glass but as I've just bought a clear glass desk to sit nearby, my girlfriend wants it to be clear.

The budget isn't fantastic I'm afraid - upto £70, so I'm hoping someone might be able to recommend a decent clear glass (black considered) corner unit to fit a 42" plasma. If it has space for two satellite speakers (using a Logitech Z-5500 sound setup) then I'd be very pleased indeed.
