Those Ikea Floating Walls

Hi guys,

My first post (for a while)...been reading up for the last year since i bought my Samsung 40" LCD.

I was living in my parents house and it was literally 1 month before i met my other half after a stressfull year i decided to treat myself to the full surround setup (which i'll post in the setup section soon)

At the time i chased into the brick wall and created a channel for the cables as i was adamant i wanted it in a floating wall - probably breaking building regs at the same time (wahey!)

Fortunatly (and unfortunatly) its come the time for me to move into a swanky apartment with the misses.

Of course this means i lose my carefully calibrated and setup cinema room/bedroom/living space i created last year.

While we can get away with putting the speaker stands on the rear walls and the odd screw in the wall we can fill up and repaint when we eventually move out i obvioulsy cant go chasing the wall out and wall mounting the TV again!

At the time i also threw away the stand for the Samsung thinking id never need it again...ooops!

This has led me to look at those Ikea units which let you mount your TV to the backboard and hide all the cables. Theres one in question which a £50 panel nice and wide and high. Does anyone have any experiance with these, are they good and sturdy and any pics of one up?

I certainly think it'll look better than being on the stand, plus i can put rope leds behind the TV again, or even behind the stand shining on the wall which may look even better.

For future reference - this panel looks like it can handle the biggest TV, anyone know up to what size, as once we've got some disposable income i think i might be going for that 63" Samsung Plasma and she can have the 40" in the bedroom.

Thanks
