Tall speaker stands for rears

Hi Guys,

I'm under the impression that the rear speakers should be slightly behind me, facing each other and a few feet above my listening position.

Now, i'm moving into a new flat and if this is the case will be looking at getting some tall stands good enough to support a set of MA BR1's.

I have Atacama Nexus 6's for the fronts. Would the Nexus 10's be high enough to give the speakers enough height ? I don't want the a few feet above me as I think they will look out of place but high enough to work.

Any other suggestions for stands ?

Thanks.

Re: Tall speaker stands for rears

i'm currently using Apollo's A/1 900mm for my rear speakers with bookshelf missions sitting on top. Provide a decent height, not expensive, and are actually pretty well made. The single tubed stands should prove more than adequate for rear speakers.

me too. I think Nexus 10's are exactly the right height, and pretty stable for a stand this tall.

Yep, got nexus 6 at the front, just ordered the 10's as going from wall brackets down to proper stands now.
