Centre Speaker Stand

Afetrnoon all,

Due to a recent change in my setup, I now find myself with no space for my centre speaker. The room it's in means the only solution is to use a centre stand, but it appears these are like hens teeth. Does anyone know where I can find such a stand ? Searching google and these forums have so far come up blank. It appears there's no great demand for these stands.

Any help would be appreciated before I get my hammer and nails out and make my own

Thats why I'm here too! this is my stand (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Optimum-Elmo...8305709&sr=1-3) as you can see it doesn't have an independent center speaker stand so the only place it can go is above the plasma but how? I can't find anything on goggle either.

we cant be the first people with this problem.

*Also, it cant go on the wall above the TV because theres a window there help anyone?

P.S sorry I cant help you ramjam

Re: Centre Speaker Stand

What kind of budget do you have? Monitor Audio do some center speaker stands for their Gold and Platinum ranges, but I see no reason these can't be used with other speakers. They're not cheap though.

Alternatively, try 2 normal speaker stands side-by-side and have the center speaker placed across both platforms. This is probably what I'm going to do once my new AV rack arrives.

Re: Centre Speaker Stand

Hi Andyst,

Thats exactly what I'm after, but at £150 it'll cost more than my speaker, so would have to rule that out. Shame as it'll do the job for me. Maybe I'll have to get the hammer and nails out afterall

Re: Centre Speaker Stand

What size is your TV base?

The base of my TV is pretty much the same size as my centre speaker and I stand my TV on top of the speaker (although it has curved rear that overhangs a few cm's).

I also saw a thread a while ago where someone couldn't find a stand so built one one that utilised the rear wall mount screws on the TV. He got a sheet of metal and bent it so that it held the speaker above the TV and screwed into the mount holes.

Re: Centre Speaker Stand

I can't tell if you guys have the same problem as me, so apologies if i seem to ask the same thing

Basically i want a stand that will raise my tv enough to slide the centre speaker in underneath and support the tv.

At the moment the tv sits on the top shelf and the centre speaker sits on the first shelf under, but it's a bit low and i want to raise it. Does anything exist like that? Obviously it has to be robust enough so my tv doesn't take an unexpected topple!

Re: Centre Speaker Stand

Hi chaps,

My centre is a Kef Q9c which is curved so no way it can go on top of it. I has thought of raising up my plasma using a MDF frame and putting it underneath. My other alternative is to change my centre speker to a kef 9000 ACE which will fit in from of my plasma.

Hi, I started a thread myself, but this is exactly what I'm looking for too. My LCD is in the corner of the room, so can't put the centre speaker on the wall, and so want to get it above the screen using an arm that screws into the wall mount holes and then holds the speaker. If anyone finds a product, or knows someone who can make one please post up the details. Cheers.
