Please recommend me a TV stand that accommodates the centre speaker.

My current stand is shown below and the issue I have is that I want the centre speaker to sit on a shelf beneath the TV.

Does anyone have any recommendations different to the ones below? Also does anyone have theirs set-up in a similar way using something like I have shown below? If you have a good stand with your centre speaker on and could post a picture and details of the stand, then it would be very much appreciated.

Hi Gazza !

It's a real pain trying to find a stand that can accomodate a centre speaker like you're after. But maybe you should have a look at an alternative like these ?:

They're from Quatropi, and they've got loads more here:

Thanks for that but way too big for me and not really my cup-of-tea to be honest.

Re: Please recommend me a TV stand that accommodates the centre speaker.

Just ordered one of these to accomodate a Onkyo amp, Panasonic DVD and Sky HD box plus a Kef Q9C center speaker.:-

Came to around £300 as the model shown doesn't have a deep enough base to house the amp so I ordered one with a deeper one.

Only thing is it as actually cost me £850 as the wife has had to have a new carpet as well!!!!

I have the third one in your first post. Have a look at the link in my sig for pics. It's fantastic value for money and the quality of the final unit really belies the price tag.

Re: Please recommend me a TV stand that accommodates the centre speaker.

As posted above purcahsed and now received one of these:-

And god what a nightmare setting it up. To be fair it wasn't really the stands fault either. I have a Onkyo amp to accomodate (bottom shelf and happily has about 2" air flow from shelf which has stopped the amp clicking).

Now the problem. Wanted to put my Sky HD plus Panasonic DVD on centre shelf. Tried it BUT then found that if I did that my Kef Q9C centre speaker which has that annoying bulge at the top would interfere with the viewing iof the 42" plasma.

So the speaker had to go on the centre shelf BUT it would only fit if I turned the shelf upside down and the metal support was at the top. Then the Sky + DVD fits on the top shelf. Which looks sort of ok except the component cables I use were slightly too short.

Oh and the QED bi wire cable which I had laid under the carpet and coming out of a 1" hole I drilled in the base of this stand was also very tight.

Let's just say a lot of swearing and three hours later it is done. I'm just getting used to it now.

If it were not for having a noisy Sky HD box then I would buy it now.

Mooperman,

I am also looking for the FS205 but I live in France and I am having difficulty getting hold of a supplier. Do you have a manufacturers name?

Gazza

Have you tried Optimum stands?
Here's a link:

http://www.standanddeliver.com/acata...tv_stands.html

They're modular in design, so you decide on the rod finish and height to suit your needs.

I have the AV 400 with 230mm rods in Light Ash - looks lovely!

Because of the noise Sky HD makes, I am putting this venture on hold for now. Its better where it is for now and not out in the open.
