Custom AV Stand with Screen Lift

Over lunch at work, we've been discussing the pro's and con's of having a bespoke AV stand made - to include a Remote Control Screen Lift... and thought you lot might be able to shed some light.

Natuarlly a 'bespoke' product made to your spec gets you everything you ask for. But..

We've looked around on the net at all of the well known av stand sellers, but cant see any of them offering such a 'custom' product.

Is this sort of product something you can easy find someone to manufacture for you? Can you seggest anyone?

Re: Custom AV Stand with Screen Lift

You can buy just the lift mechanism from here for instance http://www.av4home.co.uk/acatalog/Fl...echanisms.html

Then I guess it's a case of finding a cabinet maker or bespoke furniture maker to do the rest. Sorry don't know any personally although a couple of people have posted that they have had stands/cabinets made by Yorkshire Pine I think it was.
