Question for Alphason stand owners

I was interested in the Alphason AD3/67 in silver and have a question to ask please. My question related to the legs / tube supports and what they 'look like', ie visually.

Easiest to explain myself with a pic. Below is a link to this item from the stand & deliver site.

http://www.standanddeliver.com/acata...D3_67-LCD.html

There are two main pictures on this page the one on the left with a tv on it and another picture of the stand alone lower down on the right.

The picture with the tv on the stand has very dark grey legs while the other picture (ie just the stand, no tv) has a lighter and more natural finish ie not painted look but more of what I would call a 'brushed aluminium' type of effect.

I saw one of these stands today at Comet and it was like the one on the stand & deliver site with the tv on it, ie dark (battleship) grey painted legs. Comet had many of these stands and they were all the same. I say they were painted because some of the legs on those stands had 'chips' on them.

So question , are there 2 different versions of this stand please, as I personally would like to purchase the version with the brushed aluminium type effect on the legs.

Many thanks for any info provided.

Cheers

I have this stand btw, techincally their are 3 different versions of this stand.

1 Clear glass shelves
2 Black glass shelves
3 They did one with a weird looking middle shelf that had a broken glass effect and ive put the link underneath for that one.

As far as i am aware all the finishes on the legs are the same, the finish on the legs on my stand i would say is towards a metallic silver paint that you see on cars. If you look from certain angles at the legs with different light shining on them they seem to change towards a pearl white/silver colour and ive put a pic below to show you an example of the change in colour under different lighting.

Ring Alphason for a deffinate answer, i have found them helpful in the past.

Re: Question for Alphason stand owners

Many thanks for replies guys.

Ivor_Biggern, I did have a look on Tottenham Ct Rd today to see if I could spot any intereting stands and ran across the Alphason also. Maybe I am going colour blind in my old age as I still saw the legs as mostly grey (same as the photo of the stand in this thread).

Bargain Glass AV Stand

I did call Alphason who tried to describe the colour of the legs on the phone but that was not an easy feat.

Theowl, maybe a brushed steel type of effect maybe more suitable for my taste, thanks for the link.

Cheers
