Sony RHT-G800 Theatre Stand and Sky Remote ?

Hey everyone,

Ive just recently taken delivery of my new Sony Bravia LCD and Sonys Theatre Stand System (RHT-G800). Everything is working superbly but because my Sky HD box and DVD player are connected to the TV via the Stand itself I have to use two remotes for SkyHD.

The main problem is Volume Control, since the Sky box plays sound from the stand, the TV remains silent. I cannot find a remote code to enable the Sky remote to control the Theatre Stand.

Is there any way of 'extracting' a remote code to input into the Sky remote to make it work? I have a One For All learning remote that will learn the remotes signal but I dont know what the code is to put into the Sky remote.

Anyone else got one of these Sony RHT-G800's?

Cheers guys and gals.

Re: Sony RHT-G800 Theatre Stand and Sky Remote ?

I've cracked it!!!

Working the Sony RHT G800 with a sky remote!!

Follow these instructions exactly!!

http://www.morlocks.co.uk/remote-setup.htm

The remote code that worked my RHT-G800 was 1786

Once you've done that and it works in the sky remotes 'TV' mode, follow the set of instructions at the bottom of the link, make sure you hold down 'select' & '1' then it will work wirh the volume control in 'SKY' mode.

The only thing I can't do now is change the RHT G800s input from 'SAT' to 'DVD/BD' when I want to turn on the PS3!

One step at a time though!

Enjoy
