Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

I`ve bought a couple of things from them before, and never had any problems. I found them very helpful too, on the phone.

Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

Thanks guys,

That's reassuring... I ordered a stand last week, the website said it was in stock and I paid for next day delivery. The money was taken on the thursday, but no stand appeared on friday. I emailed after 18:00 friday and the chap phoned shortly afterwards saying they were out of stock and had been all week. I still had the webpage up showing it as in stock - refreshed after I ordered. Kinda put me off when the guy was adament he had updated the website prior to me placing an order...

In addition, I thought the law said that they were not supposed to take the money until the item was available for delivery...

Guess I'll just sit tight and wait for the moment...

Regards

Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

Stand arrived after 2 weeks. No refund of the next day delivery fee.

When TV was mounted the stand had a distinct forward lean so decided to return it. Two emails to AvRabbit and no response or return number. Looks like a trading standards complaint. Suggest anyone wanting to deal with this company be very wary....

Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

Well, I would advise that anyone thinking of dealing with this company -

Avrabbit.com
Audio Visual Resources Limited
62 Cross Street
Sale
Cheshire
M33 7AN

be very wary... The product was returned to them and I have just had an email saying they are deducting 30% due to 'damage'. The product was returned in the condition it was received. I had to chase the refund.

The money was taken on the day of the order, despite the fact they did not have any stock. The website showed that it was in stock, but the guy I spoke to claimed it had been updated to 'out of stock' prior to my order. I still had the webpage up showing the 'in stock' status when he phoned. He agreed to refund the 'next day delivery charge' but failed to do so. His excuse was that he stopped the refund on receipt of my returns request. This was some two weeks or more after he had agreed to refund it.

His email today was labelled 'WITHOUT PREJUDICE', so I suspect that they have some experience of doing this.

I am submitting a complaint to the Trading Standards.

Buyer Beware!

Regards

Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

wish I'd seen this earlier - could have pointed you here: LE40M86 & Vogels 6345

Basically I bought a mount from them - specifically asked if it would work with my telly and having been told it would work fine, I bought it. Guess what - no dice. It could be 'made to fit' but in no way near to being as per the manufacturer's instructions - when I called them up about it I basically got told it was tough.

Interesting thing is that on the thread I don't name names to start with and someone else guesses it was AVRabbit - not the sort of rep you want I'd say. I certainly won't go back again.

Hope you get it sorted.

Re: Experience of AvRabbit?

thank smcicr,

It is now well past the 30 days allowed by the distance marketing regulations with no refund of any of the money. Well and truly in breach of the regulations.

Regards
