protective screen cover for when the kids come round!

I have a 42inch plasma - just purchased and of course I want to keep it good. We are going on holiday and the wife's sister is house sitting - and she has 2 active toddlers! Does anyone know of a protective screen cover I can throw on the top of the tV so it covers the screen. I mean just a low cost option - not a fancy print so it looks like a picture.

Any ideas - apart from removing the Tv altogether of course.

Re: protective screen cover for when the kids come round!

read up this thread Fragility and screen coating on LCD

theres a company called LCDARM (on their website no info-so I emailed them) http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/23/l...from-your-wii/ but after I enquired, theres hassle getting the item, so I gave up in the end. The UK companies didnt even bother replying :O the UK companies are just flat sheets anyway, so more hassle trying to find a way to attach it to the TV is tricky.

Re: protective screen cover for when the kids come round!

thanks Doofus. From what I have read on your thread about LCD it would appear that plasma can withstand a certain amount of fingerprints on the screen?

mind you - it seems to me there is a definite market for a low cost easy to use screen protector!
