Stand recommendation

Hi,

I will be buying a 40" LCD TV within the next 12 months (probably in early 2008) but to spread the cost I will buy the stand before hand. My AV equipment is currently house on a SoundStyle XS100 silver and glass stand but don't think I want to spend loads on one purely for holding my Sky box/TiVo/VCR etc.. SoundStyle do do one (XS310) but it is £299!!! Worth it?!

So, can anyone recommend a good stand for a 40" LCD TV which has about 3/4 section for components AND room for a Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 centre speaker (this is the main thing I want)? It doesn't have to be glass/silver - it can even be wood!
