Low white cabinet needed

Hi,

I know this is not the "correct" forum but i've tried in other threads with no luck. Perhaps one of you guys can help if you've come across what i want in your builds.

I've just bought a 37" Tosh for the kitchen/conservatory. The kitchen is in white gloss and i'd like to keep this theme with the AV cabinet.

I want to keep it low so the measurements will be c.35cm high, between 54cm and 60cm deep and 150 - 180cm long.

I also prefer not to have any kit on display so it'll need cupboards as opposed to shelves/drawers. I've looked at Dwell, Ilva, Habitat and Ikea and there are some so close it hurts e.g. this one is perfect but has drawers.

Any suggestions?

Re: Low white cabinet needed

hi

I was in the same postion last month and ended up making some units out of MDF and painting them. If you want sometning which matches the rest of your furniture you could have it custom made in a cheaper wood (pine) and painting it yourself. Custom made furniture can be expensive though. I can't think of anywhere else you could try on the net other than the companies you list in your post.

Good Luck!

Thanks Joebo,

I am DIY-deficient. I can't even put up a Black and Decker Workmate without having a nervous breakdown. True.

Anybody out there with a suggestion.

I've just bought one of these from Ikea in birch, they do it in white, measurements fit your requirements and it's cheap...

Re: Low white cabinet needed

It looks good. Wasn't sure what to go for myself but thought but at this price if in 6 months time I don't like then I can soon go for something else.

Picked it up from the leeds store on Saturday, though the box was very heavy, it is surprisingly light yet sturdy when built. We nearly went for the black/brown one but change our minds at the last minute. After putting it together I noticed the finish has a kinda washed look to it, hard to explain but it is different shades of birch (if there is such a thing!). Would be interested to hear from anyone else who owns one as can't remember it being like that in the store.

At the end of the day you're getting a good looking bench for a steal of a price, also only takes about 15 mins to assemble !

THE OPTIMUm impression range - i1460 comes in white
size wise is h:450mm d:560mm w:1460mm
about £500, but seen for £350. one thing the box is huge as it is pre built

its low its white its glossy it has pull down doors, seems perfect ! just 'slightly bigger' than what you are after but its ticks all the other box's.

Re: Low white cabinet needed

Bit pricey though.

I got my Black LACK tv bench from Ikea yesterday.. Looks lovely, and is the perfect size.

Unfortunately, I can't put it together until I'm done decorating
