Stand that can hold a centre speaker in suitable position?

Title says it all really... I'm interested in getting a TV stand that can hold a (deep breath) DVD player, Freeview box, 360 and a surround sound amp but the huge major thing putting me off is the apparent lack of space and height to suitably position a centre speaker. Am I missing something or just looking at the wrong stands? The speaker is about 15cm high and 30cm+ in width.

TIA

hi TIA,

same problem here.
Thought I had found the solution, but than the stand came with missing parts so its back to the drawing board again.

Would be interested to see the solutions other members have found for their centre speaker problem.

Cheers,

Tachibana

I have a appollo mezzo soprano. They come in a variety of shelf heights and widths to suit your kit. They aren't cheap, but seriously good quality (and very heavy!). I got mine from here:

you think you've got problems! - my centre speaker 25" wide x 10" high

stand manufacturers just don't seem to consider these large centres?

Re: Stand that can hold a centre speaker in suitable position?

I'm thinking of getting one of these

£220 + £40 P&P

All 3 compartments are the same, internal width = 568mm, total internal height 360mm.

The shelves are removable, or can be set at 3 different heights.....

Lowest position gives 152mm at the bottom and 195mm on top.
Middle position gives 185mm at the bottom and 162mm on top.
Top position gives 218mm at the bottom and 129 on top.
No shelf gives 360mm gap.

From here
You have to pay over the phone to have them delivered, unless you have a showroom near you.
