Thanks: Gave 32, Got 62 | Why cant I get a stand?
That can fit my Sony 40 inch LCD screen, with a largish centre speaker underneath, a yamaha dsp757se amp, a Sony DVD recorder, a Virgin v+ box and an x box. Loads of people have a combination similar to that yet for the life of me I cant find anything unless I spend near to how much my tv cost.
Any company who would make stuff like this for a decent price would get their fingers bitten off.

I'm looking for something similar. I'll be buying a 40 or 46" Samsung LCD soon and I need to fit all of this under it:
Mission M5c speaker
Sony STR DB1080 Amp
Sony Somethingorother DVD player
PS3
Nintendo Wii
Sky HD Box
I can't imagine that's such a crazy setup. But nothing seems to fit.
The Oppli was close but the 'boxes' weren't big enough to fit the speaker.

I make furniture in a standard size that can also be customized but this is then a 'one off' piece and invariably harder to make therefore it costs more. It's also hand made so It should cost more.
Often companies look at what equipment is popular and build stands for just that. To make alterations means taking it out of a loop in a factory which takes time and man power. Most companies simply won't do this. That's why I started to make Hi Fi furniture.
If you are any good at DIY then you can do some good things with MDF, threaded bar and round Aluminium/wood table legs.

Thats what I'm going to do. I've just got a new 32" Lcd TV and also a Yamaha YSP- 1100 sound projector which is 42" long and needs to fit under the TV on a shelf. But after being out most of the day looking for something that will fit the sound projector it seems as if the only way is to build it myself. Being a carpenter, hopefully it should'nt be too much of a problem though??

Hardly any of them for starters can cope with my amp which aint massive or my centre speaker, we dont all have small satellite speakers. Is that a lot to ask for?

You could try the Soundstyle Arca Nuevo 300 series this has room for 6 pieces of kit and a middle area for your centre speaker.
I also found a company in America that are looking for a distributor over here at the moment that make some very nice kit www.studiotech.com |

I've been looking for over a year now and not found anything. I've got a much smaller kit list than you as well. My problem is I need it in dark wood and to be only 85/90cm wide.
I've now decided to build my own I'm defiantly no carpenter but I’m going to have a go any way. |

I know a few companies that include room for a centre speaker in their stands.
You can get exactly what your looking for but you do have to pay for it.
This is one thing that's struck me as a little weird, people spend thousands on massively overpriced hi fi but gripe about having to spend a few hundred for something to put it all in/on!
You could retrain as a Carpenter?

I've not looked at google sketchup yet but it looks exactly what I need. I'll give it a try tonight and post some pic's.
The only problem with good looking plans is it makes people expect a good looking final product |

Quadraspire do a modular AV rack with an option for a larger shelf height than standard with their tallest height being 326mm. It isn't cheap though and a three shelf rack including a 256mm and 326mm shelf is £510 plus delivery.
