Help me with my storage please!

My situation is this, I have around 700 dvd's now, all of which are housed in the draws within the bed in my spare room. The bed is up against the wall so as you can imagine it is a bit of a nightmare moving everything when you want to watch a film. I did have them all on show in the lounge on shelving units but I have recently gone for the "minimal" look hence me hiding them all away.

I dont fancy those holders that you hook up to your PC as it would look stupid in the lounge plus I'd have to hook my laptop to it all the time. I like the look of some of these aluminium ones but I bought one for work a year or so ago and when it arrived it looked so cheap and the little pockets never hang right.

I do not have a problem at all with taking the dvd's out of the cases and storing the cases in the attic, I just need to have all the films to hand so to speak so I can watch them without any hassle, it seems pointless having them all at the moment due to it being a nightmare to browse through them and find one to watch

Any info appreciated. What are you guys using to house your collection?

Cheers

Re: Help me with my storage please!

I have reverted to the slappa cases www.slappa.com www.cd-wow.com sell them and the quality is superb. I havent gone for the DVD ones which take the insert sleeves aswell as you really are limited to the number you can fit in a case. So instead have gone with the 240 case which really is a 120 case unless you double them up with one disc behind the other which i have only done on double disc films.

Re: Help me with my storage please!

How about a bunch of these? http://www.imation.co.uk/products/di...kka/index.html I know they`re pc connectable, but it would take a lot less time to pick one, even if they are in the bedroom, or new library/study

Not sure on budget, or below floor space, but you could have some sort of lift action jobby to bring them up from the floor.
