Speaker stand to fit AE AEGO T

Folks,

Anybody who is running these found a speaker stand that has a suitable small top plate to fit nicely ?

I want a pair for the fronts.

Something fairly stylish would be nice :-)

Thanks in advance

Re: Speaker stand to fit AE AEGO T

I guess nobody knows.....

I pinged AE with an email and got the following reply.

The stands are currently available from Apollo, they dont feature them on their website but they are called the "Sat 1" stand and are available in black or white for somewhere under £100 a pair (I am still awaiting confirmation from Apollo on prices and dealers who stock them etc.) but if you give them a call I'm sure they will be able to sort something out for you.

I am guessing he meant

I have pinged them an email but haven't seen a response yet.

hopefully this is useful to someone :-) My way of saying thanks for the help I have received from you lot :-)

Cheers

Just got a reply from Apollo:-)

Very nice chap called me up.

Available in black or silver £129 per pair

The black ones should look great with the AEGO T, hopefully should sound nice as well.

see attached pictures.

Cheers

Just spoke to them, sorry been very busy at work.

900mm tall.

120mm top plate.

300mm diameter base plate.

I will order a pair for delivery on Friday.

Piano black to match the speakers.

Will let you know what they are like.

Re: Speaker stand to fit AE AEGO T

Apollo Sat 1 (silver or black)

I got mine in the black to match the Aego T.

Arrived today as arranged and have set them up.

Packaging was just ok, stuff had moved inside as they are set in polystyrene which had split (probably due to the weight).
All items were in seperately sealed plastic bags so were in perfect condition.

Nice finish, high gloss black, no scratches or marks.

900 tall with spikes fitted

Top plate is 90 x 120 (fits just inside the u shape of the T)

Bottom disc is 250 in diameter and is very heavy steel.

Center post is hollow and screws into the base. A hole is provided just under the top plate to exit the speaker wire. The top plate is fixed with a hex bolt.

Spikes are all adjustable and have locking knurled nuts.

So, can I tell the difference to the sound. YES

They sound so much clearer deeper and crisper.

Very pleased.

I got the Aego t and the apollo stands, was really confused as to how to attach the speakers. I ended up keeping the wall brackets as they were but removing the rubber grip, removing the screw inside and reversing it so that it screws directly into the speaker stand pole. Just curious as to how the top plate was used as I didnt use it (i.e dont really understand how the top plate fits and how was it attached to the speakers?). I got the white speakers, they are very very nice.

The plate screws into the pole.

Then I just placed the speaker on the plate. I have no kids running about so secure connection is not required.

Interested in your method though, may have to take a look at that one myself.
