Will a 42” glass stand take a 50” Plasma?

I was intending to buy a 42” plasma and got a good deal on a 42” black glass stand - a bit like the GT-5A on ebuyer.

I put off getting my new tv until after xmas and now I think I could stretch to a 50” BUT I have a 42” stand. It say’s in the booklet that it can take 60Kg – the 50” plasma is 54Kg, I don’t mind a bit of overhang at the sides, but will teh tv be safe on this stand?
