Question Cabinet Cooling

sorry if I am asking a regular question, but this is a forum i rarely browse, because in part, had no real need.

ihave had soem custom furniture made, and all my AV kit is now in an enclosed space.

However, as youcan imagine the temperature insde gets warm, and i am concerned about this, esp as the central heating is not on yuet!

What are the best methods of cooling? a fan possibly?

The door to the cupboard is made of speaker cloth to aid both ventilation and remote control workings. Additioanlly, at the back of the cupbard, there is a 4 cm gap which allows the hot air to rise behind the 'false wall'. the plasma mount is secured to the actual masonary wall, and there is obviosuly a hole in the false wall. I hope this makes sense.

I would recomend/appreciate any suggestions that i can use to aid the cooling system of the cupbaord. One plan I do have is to lag the central heating pipes situated at the back of the unit, though that will be a real nause as Iwill have to remove soem of the kit from the cupbaord to gain access to the pips.

Re: Cabinet Cooling

You best bet is to fit a couple of 120 mm PC fans to the inside of the cabinet. I'm working on a project at the moment to do this and will post photos, instructions later.

Re: Cabinet Cooling

I've bought a mcube fan controller that monitors the temp and powers / controls the fans accordingly. This is then stuck in a HDD caddy that has a standard 4 pin connector to power the mcube fan controller.
