Cinema seats import

hi all having tried everywhere to get reasonable seating in the uk and failed,i amlooking into the possability of importing them as there could be a good market.
the recent fiasco on another thread over the Harveys seats shows their are interested parties
as an example of whats on offer have a look at these:
http://www.4seating.com/images/Argon...tRowOf3BLK.jpg
they are manual and expect to retail around £1000 for the three seater
thoughts anyone?

Re: Cinema seats import

Hi Pacemaker, I looked at 4seating ages and ages ago with a view to importing. It would have worked out really cheap, however after reading some comments on avsforum about 4seating they seem like a dodgey outfit that is best avoided.

Cheers,
Ben.

Re: Cinema seats import

You'd think there'd be more choice, wouldn't you.

The Lay-Zee-Boy stuff is good, but very pricey for what will probably be a house's 2nd sofa (after the main one in the living room).

Re: Cinema seats import

Not in Europe but just moved to Australia Layzee boy have a massive range over here that i have not seen in the UK.

I shipped my 3 seater over from the UK and found i can buy almost an identical one for about 1/2 the price. Wish i had sold mine before shipping out but you live and learn.

Anyone setting up an import business for cinema seats will do very well all they need to do is keep the customer informed. I say this after my experience with Herveys

Good luck in your venture hope it works well and who knows if i ever come back to the UK i will be in touch.

Re: Cinema seats import

Hi There,

I ended up finding a pair of black lazyboy matinee, ex-dem (wrapped, boxed, warenty) on ebay for a damn good price (and next day delivery!), though the powerbuy on this forum is the cheapest otherwise.

May be worth asking if they have any, etc :
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Recliners-Direct

I've since seen some of the berkline on there too, so its worth checking ebay regularly.

Cya,
Lee
