Next Media Unit - Bargain!

Been looking for a low wide unit in a suitable wood for ages and by crikey I think Ive got a winner. Oppli was too light and didnt have doors, Blok and Nuevos were just too fecking expensive!

So, I was shopping for sofas with the wife and stumbled across this unit in Next. Wouldnt have thought of Next as they never usually have anything suitable but there you go.

Its in Oak veneer, its called the 'Jefferson Low Wide Media Unit' and its £275. Bargain!

Good thing about is the size though, its H55cmxW155cmxD55cm the shelves are adjustable and 48cm wide. Plenty of room for my LC17 HTPC.

I dont work for Next btw! Im just made up Ive finally found something and it will look ace in my new house. Thought Id share my discovery!

Re: Next Media Unit - Bargain!

they also do a nice looking unit that has storage for dvd/cd, a shelf for the LCD/plasma screen and shelves for the amps etc. Went to look at it and the finish wasnt as nice close up (the one you've got is much better finished!) and the shelves arent very wide, so my centre speaker wouldnt fit.

Shame as this was almost exactly what I was after

Re: Next Media Unit - Bargain!

The only thing about it Im not entirely sure about is the colour. I like the colour but the floor in our new house is a darker laminate, almost walnut in colour.

Anyone see a problem mixing different coloured woods? I would have thought it preferable over trying to match them up and not get them quite right.
