Not sure if its any use, but I work in IT and have access to Server fan kits, they are what we call 1u kits and draw the air upwards or force them down.

If they are any use I can try and find a link for you, they use normal PC kettle leads for power.

Used both these companies before through work.

http://www.netshop.co.uk/productslis...ialoffer=False

or

http://www.datacommsdirect.co.uk/pro...SearchCriteria=

If you've got the room its worth considering these cabinets.......

There slightly more expensive than some on the market, but excellent build quality. You can add a dedicated roof mount fan, as well as the fan trays above. You could add shelves and pdu and keep everything nice and neat. We've installed a number of these (for network equipment). In fact I've got one in the office waiting to be installed, so if you'd like any photo's let me know.

Hi. just slightly hijacking your thread. I wonder what these cabinets would be like for housing a noisy projector. Seems to say it has glass fronts. would the projector beam straight through i wonder? And add some fans to keep everything cool (and quieter??). Bit expensive if it didnt work though..

Re: New av rack needed with fans

Just looking at the the cabinet we have here, to be honest the projector might suffer from reflection off the glass . But you never know, like you said though expensive if it didn't work.
