Looking for SWMBO Friendly, AV Unit...HELP!!

Hi peeps.
OK..so, I had planed on possibly a fake wall or chimney breast effort, to make teh best of the new Panasonic Plasma I want...however, considering teh fact that we are moving, SWMBO has retorted "why bother?", as is my 9 year old dughter, even as I type...which makes me feel very silly indeed.

So, with my hopes and dreams, thoroughly dashed..I am looking for a suitable (sensible) alternative.
This looks to be best fulfilled by a wall unit type thing, with AV storgae and DVD's CD's etc.

Should be high enough, so that teh AV equipment can be away from little fingers, but still allow the plasma above it to be at a reasonable height.

Anybody got any ideas, or have something similar?
Going to look at Argos, Ikea etc for inspiration.

Cheers

Gaz
