hi, does anyone have any experience with a cantilever wall mount for a 42" LCD TV? Any advice, prices or recommendations would be appreciated. thanks

I'm looking to do the same, but for 32". Have a look at these, from a well known supplier:

This states up to 40", but I guess it really depends on weight.

This is for up to 50" plasma, but double the money.

Vogels also do some nice mounts, but they aren't cheap!
