Floating Glass shelves

hi all

im after getting 2 glass shelves that look like they are floating now i have seen these but never very deep they need to fit the depth of a av reciever and media centre pc so they need to be quite deep

what im after is 2 metal poles at each end and then the glass shelves to sit on top of thse

any ideas how i can do this as in bolting them to the wall?

thanks

B&Q do a range of glass shelves, but an AV receiver might be a bit much for them to handle.

Floating glass shelves

I am looking for the same thing - I need 2 shelves that are about 1m wide. I want them to fit neatly into the alcove. I already have 2 glass floating shelves but these are not wide enough to handle 2 AV units side by side. I bought these from bo-concept in 2001/2002. If you do have success then please let me know and visa-versa.

Depending on what sort of "floating" you mean. I have seen floating glass stairs on a tv do the house up show. They had to be cut specially, by a glass bod. Expensive, but lookes way cool.

I would suggest going to your local glass person (if you have one) and ask them about it. At least that way you can get the exact size you want.

These stairs btw were cut into the wall, so literally nothing looked like they were being held up.
