Does anyone have one of these?

If so could you anwser a couple of questions about it?

All I want to know is the Oak Veneer stainable so I can get it match my other furnature?

And will the top shelf divider be able to be removed. So I can put my centre speaker in the middle?

I hope someone can anwser yes to both of these questions as it would be perfect!

Thanks in advance

If you want to stain the veneer, you'll need to sand off the laquer/varnish first. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to use coloured varnish.

Stain works by soaking into the wood, and any varnish will stop that happening. Coloured varnish lies on the surface, so will be OK over existing varnish.

The unit is supplied flatpacked, so just leave the divider out.

Cool I thought as much but didn't know if it was a plastic type veneer.

I could use the divider as a tester for my stain/varnish.

I didn't know if the divider would leave any holes where it should have been?

I haven't actually got this unit, so don't take anything as gospel!

I'm guessing that the unit is veneered with real wood because the listing says "oak veneer", rather than "oak finish" or "oak effect".The price also suggests real wood - it'd be a lot cheaper if it was vinyl.

Leaving out the centre divider will undoubtedly leave some holes (probably 2 cam & peg fixings at the top, and 2 screws at the bottom), but these will probably be hidden by your centre speaker.

Cool thanks

I'm planning on hanging the centre speaker from the underside of the top to give me more space but the freeview box should cover the holes.
