Can anyone recommend someone who makes custom made equipment cabinets?
Happy to spend the £ on a good product!

Have a chat with a local cabinet maker. You will be surprised what can be put together at low cost. Have a look at my cabinet which I had custom made in Horsham, West Sussex and you will see what I am talking about. Entertainment cabinet help please

People may think that I keep posting the same response about my cabinet, but I really do think that most people don't know what these things can cost.

When I started my project a few years ago, the first quote I had was for over 6k from a well known Custom AV installer in North London. I shopped around and got the quote down to 4k and then happened to see an advert for a local cabinet maker.

I made a visit with a full spec drawing and they were able to build what I wanted. If you more details, just let me know.

Check out Fi Rax. I used them to put together a simple smoked glass and mahogany cabinet some time back and it's still lookin' good...

Hi Pemberto,
These people started off as joiners and have now set up a range of specialist AV furniture.
When you pay £450 + for some poor quality wood or more often, MDF Veneer, glass or Aluminium from companies it makes getting things custom built a very realistic prospect.
As you and I have both found it doesn't have to cost the earth and you get a hand made solid cabinet that lasts for years.
Very nice by the way!
