Kenmark KM-TS02M £45 in Argos

A week ago I bought the Kenmark KM-TS02M from John Lewis for £79.95;

http://www.johnlewis.com/Audio+and+T...5/Product.aspx

The next day I saw this Matrix stand in Argos for £44.99;

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/6108009.htm

It looked identical in the pic and was the same dimensions. I contacted John Lewis undersales to try and get a price match, but they refused, saying that to their knowledge Kenmark did not supply Argos.

Today I purchased the Matrix stand from Argos. It is exactly the same model - it even has the KM-TS02M code on the packaging inside. Called John Lewis back and they are looking into it, but in the meantime they agreed to let me return the Kenmark stand for a refund.

I am using this stand with my Samsung LE32R41BD and it looks excellent. A classy stand at a bargain price!

Good spot ! I was thinking of getting the John Lewis one but I think I'll get one of these.

Could you by any chance tell me the measurement between the shelves.

chrisowe, the measurements are 18.5cm bottom to middle, and just under 20cm middle to top.

Thanks, Papacino.

It appears that my recorder won't fit between the pillars (damnit). Could you let me (actually, her indoors) know the distance from the front of the rear pillar to the front of the shelf please?

Sorry to be a pain...

That distance is just over 32cm. My DVD player doesn't fit between the pillars, but fits with room to spare between the front of the rear pillars and the front of the shelf.

I would of got this stand as it's a great price, unfortunately it won't fit my av amp, dvd player and centre speaker so I've had to buy a £250 stand instead. Didn't realize I'd have to spend so much to get a suitable stand.

I know what you mean my amp won't fit either. I will have to get the £149 one from Richer Sounds instead.

Great find-I got one yesterday and its very impressive.
I got it from an "extra" store but reserved it online first. I don't know what the page number is either but you could just reserve it first like i did. (It does a stock check too so you dont waste time going there to find it out of stock etc)
The shelves take my Xbox and Sky box with ease-plenty of room front and back, and the whole thing feels solid/well built. It looks like it cost a hell of a lot more too.

Any pics/measurements etc needed give me a shout

I've just bought a stand for £250 and I've just found out it weighs 38kg
Are all tv stands with glass shelves this heavy? I'm going to have to send it back as it's too heavy for me.
It's becoming a bit of a nightmare this trying to find a suitable stand for my av equipment and tv.

Re: Kenmark KM-TS02M £45 in Argos

I love the Internet

I bought one of these Kenmarks in early '06 from John Lewis for £60, and wanted another one now for the bedroom. JL no longer sell them but I was told Comet do.

Popped along £150 but only £75 if I buy a TV from them, all that told me was at £75 they were still making a profit Ideally I wanted the 60cm but through a bit of searching found out that Argos sell it under the Matrix name for £40
