Question about Alphason AG94/2S

Please excuse my ignorance!
Could any owners of the AG94 tell me exactly what the "damping sheets" are for that are included with the stand. Obviously the instructions say they reduce unwanted resonance and to stick them in the back of the stand but where and how exactly?

Hi, just bought this stand myself. The damping sheets are simply stiffish sticky-backed plastic (think linoleum tiles) which you cut and stick inside the tower part of the stand. "To reduce resonance". Dunno if they work or not, since I have not experienced any...I just cut mine and stuck the parts between the holes where the cables pass through.
