Floating shelves deep enough for dvd players

I have my 42" plasma wall-mounted and would like to hide cables in cavity behind plasterboard and put dvd player and dvd recorder on to 2 floating shelves

Unfortunately i cannot find any floating shelves deeper than 250mm wide and of course i need over 350 when scarts etc are taken into account

Any ideas?

Lightbulb

I'm looking to do a smilar thing and wanted something dark wooded contemporary. I may contact some joiner/carpenter for a quote so will let you know how I get on.

In the meantime I'd also be interested in any other opinions/ideas?

This company seems to make something suitable, may be a bit too deep for me.
