Cherry Wood Speaker Shelves

I'd like to get some cherry wood shelves to put my rear speakers on. Ideally they will be big enough to hold a speaker (152mm x 227mm) and have room to put some nick nacks or books etc. I would like some differend length shelves etc so I can make it look more like furniture rather than a speaker stand. I would like to get real cherry rather than MFI type plastic. Anyone know where I might get some?

Wall mounted book cases might also fit the bill.

thanks.

Try a specialist Timber Merchant. My local merchant can supply just about anything, at a price - solid timber isn't cheap (except pine).

Might also be worth trying a bespoke kitchen supplier, the type of place that custom builds for rich people.

Or an alternative to solid timber would be cherry veneered mdf - again should be able to get hold of it from a local timber merchant.
Much cheaper than solid cherry but will look exactly the same (if done well )

Thats a very good solution, a couple of friends have done this with different vaneers and it looks very effective.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I was hoping to buy something off the shelf (pun intended ).

I'm thinking I may go for glass wall shelves or even speaker stands. Anyone know of chery stand maker with cable tidies built in?
