Alphason plasma stand

Hi all,

I want to get a stand / cabinet for my Pioneer pdp436xde and have whittled down my selection to a Alphason ADP3/96 in black.

Has anyone got any views or comments... is it any good or should I look for a straight forward stand system like the Alphason AD3/105-PB???

Thanks

The MiGhTy ChiPstEr

Yep it sure can - Spoke to Alphason regarding ( pdp436xde + ADP3/96 ), as i am looking to purchase this also. The press says will support up to 42" - However Alphason say this to stop people trying to whack a 50" on it. Its down to weight restrictions. The universal support bracket on the stand will fit the 43" pio.

This sounds ideal, can you please let me know which finish (Silver or Black) you went for as I am currently undecided and wanted to know peoples opinion on which one looks best. Also can anyone recommend and cheap and trusted retailer to buy it from ?

Any pictures of the stand with kit on would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

Went for the Piano Black. It has silver tubed legs against the black glass. Coupled with the black surround on the plasma, it looks awsome.
But it personal choice really and depends what else you have in the room. Picks up dust easily but hides the kids messy paw prints very well.

Got mine from Empire Direct, ordered at 2 pm arrived 8 am next day

Mighty Chipster. If you're looking for a Plasma stand, the AD5/47-CPB refers to a hifi stand, not a plasma one. Hope you are aware of this and that's what you wanted.

AD refers to the series/design of the stand
47 refers to the width (47cm = width of standard hifi seperate)
CPB refers to the colour scheme (chrome & piano black)

Sure you already know this, but would feel bad if you were actually awaiting a large plasma stand and I hadn't mentioned it anyways.
Disregard this post if it is the hifi rack you wanted.

Dan.

Alphason ADP3/96

Hi, can any ADP3/96 owners confirm the usable depth of the stand. The Alphason website quotes 495mm but the stand seems to be slightly D shaped and there is the pivot pole to consider.

Most AV receivers seem to be well over 400m and I would like to know whether you could use a Pioneer AV receiver which has a depth of 462mm on the stand.

Thanks

The D part of the stand houses the support pole at the rear for the TV. I also have my pioneer AV reciever on the stand, and there is plenty of space left front and rear.
