Cheap But Spacious TV Unit From B & Q, Alternative to Ikea's AV Rack

In case anyone's looking for an alternative to the Ikea AV rack, then there's this cheap offering from good old B&Q (larger stores only).

I cou;dn't find it on their website.

It's called a 'Form Wide TV Stand'.

Usual cheap chipboard quality.
Costs £45.
Available in Beech and Maple.

Be warned, I had to reinforce the uprights with wooden battens (8 in total) as the 4 metal rods encased in silver plastic colums (see pic) that take the brunt of the weight wouldn't have been enough for all my gear.

I also recommend you put 6 x castor wheels on the bottom as the plastic feet that come with it are just stuck on with double sided tape
