Best Place for Alphason AD3/105

I'm just about to take the plunge and buy a 42" Panasonic. I need a stand that will incorparate my AE centre, Amp etc and think this will do the trick. Anyone know the best place/price for this one?

All help would be very welcome!

great stuff
glad you was lucky to find one..

sure is a great deal.... going by they was £349.99....
before being discontinued..

first 2 i got. i had 1 and my sister had the other.

but i scratched the top with my 28" crt tv

i thought maybe i could take the glass off and turn it over and use it for bottom shelf...
but i found out the top sheet is 10mm thick and the other 2 are 8mm thick..

doh !!!

so now i got another 1 today from currys
im going to take them both apart and make a stand with 4 layers of glass..

you wont find it on the currys website.
as it has been removed.
due to the stand been discontinued.
and sold off at £99.97 each.

i would think most currys have sold them all by now.
but you may find a odd branch having 1 left etc

like Jan20 did...

and also me taking the last 1 the romford branch had.

you could phone round the branches that are within a area to you and try.

you might be unlucky and not find 1.

but then you may be lucky to find 1 straight away..

GL !

but as to a pic of the stand.

http://go-electrical.co.uk/details.php?prod_id=90

i can also confirm ive taken the stand i got the other day from currys apart.

and the tubes are hollow. with plastic insert ends.
it going to be so easy to convert 2 stands into a nice 4 shelf stand !

Mine is in my boot right now!
Soldier, there is one left in sunny Dewsbury, built up demo model like mine, saves me the indignity of getting the old father in law to build it for me.

The problem I have now is I've decided against the PV500 as I can't get the 436xde out of mind at all. I'm now praying for a January price drop

cool jan....

all the 3 i got where all built together. being all display models... bit dusty but. nothing a cloth and polish wont sort

well maybe jan could buy the other 1 left at dewsbury. and get someone to take it a part and flat pack it ?
and send it to you soldier... no idea on weight thou.. very heavy... no idea on cost to post too...

it very easy... to take apart. turn it upside down. and undo the 4 nuts. and start to take the legs apart bit by bit. removing the layers of glass as u come to them..

gl

Just got one from the Great Western Road branch in Glasgow. Display model again - they seem to be selling them off. The cable tidy tube is missing but I was assured that none of their stands have them.

Got a brand new boxed AD3/105s from my local Curry's today for £99.97.

They have several in stock. It is the old model with the semi-circle cut into the glass, which is better than the tube version anyway I personally think.

Stratford-upon-Avon.

They no longer have any left ( i purchased them all and sold them on ebay).

Didn't think anyone was after one as you are the first to reply since I posted to the thread.

All of the Curry's in my area no longer have new stock but they all have them on display still and will sell them, they also have the AD3/93 everywhere on display. Both models are £99.97 and some have the tube design at the rear and some just have the cutout.

I have pointed a few ebayers in the right direction and they have all managed to pick one up, ex-display all over the country.

To be fair the ones I have seen in the shops would clean up very easily and any marks on the legs could be hidden to the rear or spares obtained from Alphason.

At £99.97 you can't really go wrong new or display.
