DVD Storage options?

At the moment I have a standard bookcase in the living room with all my DVD's on it but I have now run out of space (only have just under 300 dvd's )

This is what it looked like a while ago with a bit of space left..

bookcase

...but I now need to replace it. Can anyone recomend a good storage solution that will hold all my current DVD's, including box sets, plus leave some space for future purchases. It needs to fit in the same area as the current unit does and be of similar dimensions.

My Wife would prefer something that hid away all the DVD's but I am not fussy

If anyone has any suggestions, links or photos of what they use then I would be very gratefull.

It's nothing special or anything. Season 1 of Gen1 came with the free tin to hold that and the other three seasons......still, it looks nice on the shelf

Thanks Ewan. I like the look of that first one but would need three to make sure I had space to keep up with the amount of DVD's I have buying lately...and I can't fit three in the living room

Any other suggestions/ideas/pics of DVD storage solutions from anyone?

I've gone for Wenge Bo Concept drawer unit to hold my CDs and a few DVDs.

I've decided to put all 200 of my DVDs onto a pair of 500GB hard disk which will fit in a windows or Linux server. I just have to find the time to do it. I've put 500 of my CDs onto another hard disk.

jees the price of those wall systems is crazy

if you are running out of space and dont mind binning the boxes the easiest soloution to your storage problem is to use a dvd wallet system such as this one which holds upto 600 dvd's in special sleeves...

http://www.mmdesign.com/products/dvd_pro_case_hd.htm

i have recently taken this step with my audio cd's. at the moment i have a bookshelf for my dvd's but will probably move to a wallet system when i fill it up as with my audio cds i have found its so much easier to find/catalogue things. worth a serious look imo.
