Who Makes This Kind of AV Rack

I've seen them before but can't recall where.

I'm looking for a free-standing AV stand that as the Plasama Mount built in and includes some shelves for a few pieces of equipment.

Anyone know what companies I should be looking at.

Cheers,

Nigel

An AV rack with shelves...erm..... how big, how many, what material?

Actually, I'm a big fan of making your own.
I've made 3 over the years as my equipment changes. It costs a tiny fraction of having a pre-built one and you can tailor the design to your needs.

You don't need to be a DIY guru either.

I just worked out the size of each peice of wood I'd need to make the thing.
Then I popped down to my local timber merchants and asked to them cut my chosen wood into exact sized peices.
I took them home, fixed them together then sanded down and polished it up.

Now I have a home made wooden cabinet that looks like it was tailor made for my kit, including my large KEF THX Centre speaker.

It requires a bit of thought and planning, but well worth the effort.

Handy tip... take your wife/girlfriend to persuade the guys at the timber merchants to cut the wood for free and round off some edges
In my experience, they really like 'helping out' females, but get a bit shirty with blokes.
