ahhh yes its something along them lines thanks, although the ones I saw was off a reasonable price i.e. £30 per shelf was more in my price range £700 for shelving is way too steep, rather buy a mini plasma for the bedroom :D

Dave,

Did you get those Vogel stands ? - can the equipment be placed directly onto these stands or do you need something like a glass shelf put on first.

B&Q do something very similar. It's modular and has a cable tidy unit. Each shelf is an 'H' shape, rather than a V and is adjustable for depth and width on each cross bar (I think) and holds up to about 15Kgs.

I'm afraid i can't find the item on the B&Q site at the moment, but they were about £20 per shelf which is a bit less than the ones you found.

Hi, thought this thread had died. I havent bought any shelving as yet. stuggling to find something good enough. we've seen them shelves at Homebase, fairly convincing. not 100% yet. we are waiting on a new sofa as the woman has gone off the idea of mounting them on the wall now. still not even got the plasma on the wall yet getting annoying now

I've ordered the Vogels 2 weeks ago, but stocks seem a bit short. They are expected end of next week, I'll post up my opinion when they arrive

I ordered two Vogel stands and 4 cable covers a few weeks back - they arrived after about a week - however we have had a small problem as I ordered all silver.......I received 1 silver and 1 black, unfortunately when the return was submitted I received the new one by return - ALSO BLACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently the Silver one has now been sent (and heard from home that they have attempted delivery......) I will hopefully be able to get them up over the weekend and let everyone know.....

However - in answer to previous enquiry - no glass shelf is required

Finally had the time to mount the Vogel stands over the weekend. They are a doddle to install, and are very sturdy. The only problem is the depth as the cable tidy system is directly in line with the component ports on the rear of my Yamaha amp. So new cables needed (also there is not enough space in the cable tidy for 4 full spec component cables).

The acid test is my wife is happy and the 4 year old hasn't tried to climb them yet, so I'd recommend them.
