Hey, I'm soon to buy a brand new 50'' LG Plasma and looking forward to getting it all set up. I'm wondering whether my glass TV stand which it says is up to 42'' might already be sufficent though and will save me needing to buy a new one? The one I already own is here....

I take it there'd be a bit of an overhang of the TV over the sides though? Although the base unit of the actual TV stand will fit? I have a 40'' on it at the minute and the base easily fits with no overhang at the sides.

Does anyone else do similar?

It should be fine aslong as your TV doesn't exceed the maximum weight limit. (doesn't say on amazon what the max limit is). Unless your TV is stupidly heavy it should be fine as all glass weight limits will be well within what they can actualy hold.
I think the TV size is more of a guide due to the overhang, you obviously can't push it right into the corner if your TV is wider than the length of the front face.
