Hello,

I have a large screen FLOORSTANDING TV in front of a bay window and NOWHERE to put a centre channel speaker. The TV is not deep enough to support a large centre speaker (I have a PROAC CS1) and I can’t wall mount it because there is no wall only a window.

Does anyone know where I can get a support made (preferably a good quality one made out of speaker stand material) to support the speaker above my TV? Does anyone do speaker stands / supports to your own design? I know TARGET used to but they seem to have disappeared.

Thanks Mylo. Sadly my TV is plasma thin and the centre speaker very big so these aren't quite suitable. Thanks all the same though.

The other option is a single or pair of conventional speaker stands stood in front of the screen.

Thats an interesting idea and one that I had given some thought to. But the TV looks good and I didn't want to cover it up and also the reflection from the picture onto the top surface of the speaker would be a distraction.

Get a stand & cut it to size. My TV is offset to the left, the screen pulls down onfront of it, the stand is the correct height for the speakier to be just 'under' it. The stand is a left over, I have floor standing Kefs these days...

How about two speaker stands behind the TV extended so that they are taller than the TV and placed close enough to each other (one stand underneath each end of the centre speaker) so that the centre speaker can be placed on top of them. If you can't get the stands close enough, then consider a length of board to form a shelf on the speaker stands. Then place the centre speaker on the 'shelf'.
