Any alternatives to the Jahnke Power Rack 295? Looking for light oak finish sub £500

I'm looking for a light oak AV cabinet that can accomodate 4 AV units (Amp, CD, PVR/DVD, and Squeezebox), with glass doors, for under £500. Preferably light oak to match my other furniture. It has to have doors as I have an inquisitive 8MO son!

I'm mainly considering the Jahnke Power Rack 295 as I think this is closest to what I'm looking for (does anyone have any pics of this model in the Sahara finish? I think the Beech finish will be too light). I've also seen the Alphason Ambri ABR1100-LO but I've ruled this out (despite liking every other aspect of it) as it is just too low at 39.5cm and I don't want to go as far as modding it myself to add feet. Yup, I read every page of the ABR1100 uber thread here! I have a Panny TX-37LZD81 that will sit on top.

Are there *any* other alternatives to the Jahnke? I'm looking for a unit 45-60cm high, up to 130cm long and around at least 43-45cm deep. The only alternatives I can see at the moment is getting something made and that's likely to work out too expensive at £500-700.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi,

You may find something suitable in the Blok range of TV cabinets, have you seen the Alphason Finewoods cabinets?

Thanks Paul

I have looked at the Blok Classix 2000 and 3000 range. They are indeed nice but they're a bit too pricey for me at £599 and £749 - at this price I'd be very tempted to get something made by a local cabinet maker that exactly meets my requirements - e.g. accommodating my Aego P5 Mk1 sub, which would otherwise sit outside the cabinet.

The Alphason Finewoods are also nice but they have no doors. Not an option with my 8MO son - he can't crawl yet but he's already rolling across the floor and developing a keen interest in the contents of my existing hifi/TV racks
