37" Cantilever Stand

Jst ordered a new Panny 37" plasma that arrives this friday. Anyway looking for a new stand to compliment it. Havent got much of a budget after blowing most of it on the TV. The OH would really like a Cantilever stand so its away from the little uns wandering hands. Seen this one on Big AV:

Stil - STUK 2052 CHBL - Black Mount TV Stand 26" - 37" | BIG AV

Problem is Im not sure if it will suit. I will have the TV on the cantilever but also have a sky box and PS3 that I need to house in the stand. Was wondering if anyone has a stand like this and could tell me if the PS3/Sky box would fit on the shelf directly below the TV?

If not does anybody have an idea an where I can loo. I cant spend over £100 (much less would be better) and its to go in the corner so the width has to be under 1000mm.

Many Thanks

Re: 37" Cantilever Stand

Hi,

Yes you will easily fit a unit on the top shelf, the Stil is a fantastic stand for the money, the only thing you need to consider is if the hole spacing on your TV is suitable for this stand, do you know the Vesa measurement of your TV?

Re: 37" Cantilever Stand

Not 100% sure where I could find out the VESA measurement for my tv? Its a Pannasonic 37x10b. I did have a quick look on google but dont seem to be able to find it as yet. On the website it says the stand fits TV's up to 37" guessing its not all TV's then?

Was hoping to get the stand by friday ready so I can set up the TV at the same time. May have to wait until the tv turns up so I can make sure it will fit.

Re: 37" Cantilever Stand

Hi,

You should be OK, it is suitable for the vast majority of 37" TV's, its up to you, you could wait until the TV arrives and check, alternatively if you order from us you are covered by our money back guarantee if it doesn't fit.

Re: 37" Cantilever Stand

Cheers for the reply. I think I might take the risk and order it. Would hate to have to wait round with a brand new plasma and nowhere to put it!

If I order it tomorrow (18th) when would the stand turn up (roughly)?

After asking what the measurement was on another forum Ive been told that its 400mm x 300mm and the owner manual mentions a bracket TY-WK4P1RW. Any idea if the stand would be suitable or not

Nearly all Cantilever TV Stands and TV Brackets are VESA Compatible today, if not all. If your TV is VESA compatible which you said it is it will be fine!

I say NEARLY because there is bound to be one somewhere that isn't!!!

Which was the other forums?! Another AV forum.... who knew?!!

Yeah it was on another section within AVforums. There is a money back guarentee with the stand so think I'll take the plunge.

Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply, the stand is in stock and would be delivered on a next working day delivery service, I think you should be OK with this stand and if not we would be able to find a larger bracket for you.

Wired Man, nearly all TV's, TV brackets and cantilever TV stands are VESA compatible but there are different Vesa sizes, VESA 100, VESA 200, VESA 400 etc, if your TV is VESA 400 and the bracket is up to VESA 200 it will not fit so be careful.

The above stand didnt fit my panasonic 37X10B which was a bit of a pain. Big AV were quite good by offering to send me larger size arms at no extra cost which they have done. The one downside which may or not be Big AV's fault (but does reflect badly on them) is the delivery service. I ordered the item before 2pm and in all fairness to Big AV it was dispatched for next day delivery. After a problem with DHL I waited in all day to find that the item was apparently signed for by someone else? After a bit of phoning round I found out that the parcel was apparenlty refused at an unknown address and was returned to the depot which I then had to go and pick up.

Again with the new arms that were sent big Big AV (free of charge) there were mistakes with the delivery. The day the arms were due to be delivered to my works address I rang Big AV to see if they had definitly been dispatched and was old that due to a problem with DHL's computer they had no idea where the item was. After a bit more ringing round and not getting anywhere I rang my local DHL and was told that there was no problem with their system and the item was in the dispatch depot in Leeds and would be in the local depot the next morning for delivery. I said that I would go collect the item from the depot as I was off work. The next day I had a message from a mate in work to say that the item had been delivered to work afterall and know I cant collect until Monday when Im back in work.

Sadly after a great start with ther order process the mistakes with the delievry scuppered what could have been a great service.

Hi,

We are Big AV.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience which has been caused here.

Customer service is a priority for us and that's why we sent out larger arms completely free of charge.

I am very sorry to hear about your problems with the couriers, we currently use DHL and find them to be generally reliable, we have tried many different delivery services and we think DHL are the best, unfortunately mistakes still occur, particularly at this time of year when couriers are at their busiest.

We did try to do everything we could to satisfy your needs as a customer, unfortunately once we dispatch an item it is beyond our control and we do have to rely on couriers to provide delivery, once again please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and I hope you like the stand once it's setup.

Best Regards

Paul
Big AV
