Where to get a nice, reasonabley priced TV stand?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend where to get a nice stand that isn't too much?

A friend of mine has a perfect one but can't remember where he got it. I have quite a bit to get on there but the ones i keep seeing are all the same 2 glass shelves, whereas my friends one has the top shelf where the tv stands, a small shelf under that where a centre speaker could go, and then 2 full length shelves under that.

It's a glass one but all the places i've found on Google have the same 2 shelves (3 counting the top i guess) design and i'd really like a mini shelf for my centre speaker.

The stuff i've got to go on there if poss is Kef 3005SE centre, X360, Amp, DVD player and blu-ray. It'd also be nice to have room for the PS3 and the Wii (which is small enough to sit on the dvd player anyway.

My friend has all his gumph on there (except PS3) so i know they exist! Please help as i move Saturday and don't want my TV sitting on the floor getting dust kicked in its face!!

Thanks.

Hi,

Take a look at our TV stand website, we have over 600 hundred products, I think some models from the Aquila stand range and the elite TV stand range, also maybe the Iconic GL 410 and the Techlink PTV3 may interest you.

Let me know if this is the kind of thing you are looking for, I'm sure we can find something you like.

I have been looking for similar spec tv stand. The front runner for me is the atacama europa reference 8 se. You can stack up to 5 shelves on top of each other which should be enough to accomodate all your gear. The shelf heights range from 235mm, 185mm and 135mm so you can customise your tv stand. I have been shopping around and each shelf is around £120 so I dont know if its high for your budget or not.

Im looking to get the 5 shelves and am looking to get the shelves for a lot less than £120 each but no luck so far.

Another one to look at could be the equinox av its 3 shelves including the top one but its 1060mm wide so could fit a number of items on each shelf. Depends how wide your amp and centre speaker is. You might be able to put your centre speaker on the top shelf with the tv.

Does the Aquila - LA MESA 3006 have room on each shelf for two full size untis to sit side by side. Also will a 42" screen mount high enough for a speaker to be placed on the top shelf.

Re: Where to get a nice, reasonabley priced TV stand?

Hi,

The TV should be high enough for you to fit a centre speaker, please measure between the upper mounting hole and the very bottom of the TV (excluding the plinth) and also provide the height of your centre speaker and we will confirm this for you.

As regards the shelving you will not be able to fit two full width units side by side, this will be the case with all stands with this kind of a width because you need space for the legs, a full size unit is 440mm wide so two adds up to 880mm in width, that is nearly as wide as the stand itself, you would need a stand nearer 1100mm in width to accomodate two full width units side by side. Take a look at the FAV-S193B it will be back in stock mid December.
