Specific Black AV Stand Requirements

Hi all,

I know this is going to be quite specific, but we're looking for a stand to tick a few boxes.

First up, it needs to hold the following;
  • Yamaha 1065
  • SkyHD
  • PS3 Slimline
  • Wii
  • Squeezebox Classic
  • Centre Speaker
And potentially;
  • Media Steamer (eg. PopcornHour)
So needs to;
  • Centre will be placed on top
  • Amp is 180mm high, so needs breathing space
  • Required depth of about 400mm for Amp, but we've space for 500mm
  • We've space for a stand width up to 900mm
  • Cable tidy
In terms of budget, we've got up to £200, but would like to be nearer £100 and looking on big-av (which has far too much to choose from), we 'should' be able to come in nearer the £100 mark.

It's been a nightmare looking, as it's knowing what to put on what shelf to make it work, having the required depth and height of shelf...

We've planned to have the centre on the top as the TV will be wall mounted above, the rest can go wherever it fits best.

So, I'm hoping some experts and/or resellers can help point us in the right direction...

If anyone can help, or if anyone has any questions, please shout as all comments are welcome!

Re: Specific Black AV Stand Requirements

Hi,

How did you find our site? I know we have alot of products but the aim is to have a stand to meet everybody's exact specifications. Here are some recommendations I think may be suitable for you-

Optimum TV900B Black Glass
Optimum TV900 Clear Glass
GT3 TV Stand Black Glass
GT3 TV Stand Clear Glass
GT6 HiFi Rack
Iconic TX8000 Hifi Rack
Iconic UK GL 2407
Stil Stuk 2007 CHBB

All of these stands come in well under budget, if you like something which is abit over your budget let me know.

Re: Specific Black AV Stand Requirements

Hi Paul,

Found your site via these forums, as for the site itself, there's too much to choose from, therefore a nightmare

I think we prefer the black units from the clear ones. I can't decide what width to get and how to get it all on the shelves.

I was thinking Amp & Sky on one shelf, then Squeezebox, PS3 and Wii on another with the centre on the top. However, we'd need of width of at least 880mm if we were to take that route due to Amp and Sky.

I guess I could put Amp & Sky on different shelves, then spread the remaining items about!?

It's a pain deciding how to lay it all out so it looks reasonably balanced and all fits.

Someone needs to come up with an interactive online tool where you can move things about...

I also quite like the taller one with Amp on bottom, then others on the rest of the shelves...

It's just gonna be a case of making the choice and going for it

What's the delivery timescale on a stand in stock to Swindon?

Thanks for the suggestions, appreciated!

Re: Specific Black AV Stand Requirements

Hi,

It should be next day delivery on the Stil, Optimum and GT TV stands, and afew days for the iconics.

I presume you have the TV wall mounted then? I think the Hifi options may be the best for you, if you only have a space with 900mm I don't think you will be able to find a stand which has 880mm usable shelf space like you say you could juggle things around but everything will be a different height so it will be difficult to make it looked balanced, with a Hifi stand everything will have its own shelf, if the TV is wall mounted just ensure the Hifi stand would not be too tall and get in the way of the bottom of the screen.

If you need anymore help just let us know.

Cheers

Paul

Re: Specific Black AV Stand Requirements

Hi Paul,

Yes, TV will be wall mounted (when I can find a suitable mount/bracket) and the bottom of the TV will be about 900mm from the ground, so decent clearance.

I think we'll take a look at your recommendations along with others on your site and make a decision in the next couple of days as plan to rig it all up in the next couple of weeks and a stand is key for this...

Thanks.

Hi,

I will be able to help you out on the bracket also, but you would have to personal message me because I don't want to break forum rules.

Sounds like you will have a sweet system anyway.

Cheers

Paul

I hope it will be when it's finally all set up. Our budget went up in smoke, so I'm hoping the system should justify our expenditure...
