Equinox AV?

From the specs you can only have 3 shelves with the Equinox AV. I am looking for a stand of similar size where you can stack 4 shelves. I have a 40" LCD TV to go on top 1st shelf, an MA GSLCR to go on 2nd shelf an xbox 360 and blue ray player to go on 3rd shelf and an AV receiver to go on the bottom shelf.

I have also looked at the Europa reference 8 but that is 80cm wide and my TV is 100cm wide and I think it would look better if the widths were the same. Any ideas?

Re: Equinox AV?

Hi,

How tall is your amp?
Do you have a preference of finish colour?

Re: Equinox AV?

My amp is a Denon AVR1910 WxHxD 434x171x377 I would be looking for some extra height over the 171 for the heat to disperse.
My TV is Sony LCD 40W5500 and that has a piano black finish so I would be looking for a finish on the stand that complements that. TVs width is 100cm.
My centre speaker is MA GSLCR and would like that to be in a central position meaning that it eats up a whole shelf to itself.
Its dimensions WxHxD 560x206x230 its finish is walnut.
I also have MA RS8s which will go either side of the stand. Because of their size it means the max width of the stand can be 140cm
I initially wanted to go for the Equinox but you can only have three shelves.
I like the properties of the europa 8se being able to give minimum vibration, however for their price I would need it to be perfect asthetically and because their width is less than my TV I can not square spending that much.

Re: Equinox AV?

Have you considered the Spectral Screen range?

They are extremely customisable, so you can specify the width, number of shelves, and the individual shelf heights. I think you would need the 1050mm wide one, with the four shelves, probably with 210mm at the bottom, 160mm on the middle two shelves and 210mm at the bottom.

Being made by Spectral it has excellent acoustic properties, with the very thick glass sheets being almost resonance proof! This kind of quality does come at a price though, for your requirements you will be looking between £700-£800.

Have a look at: Spectral - S133-BG | Premium Black LCD TV Rack Stand | BIG AV for an idea of the design of the Screen range.

Re: Equinox AV?

Thanks for the recommendation. I checked out the spectral range and they look good and the size fits my requirements, but the price is way too much for me. I was finding the price of £400-500 a bit much for the europa 8 se and that would probably be my top end budget. I started with a budget of £200-300 and that I find that more ideal.
