Cantilever stand for the 46B7000 Samsung

Hi, just wondering if you guys know if the TV above will be suitable to be mounted on a Cantilever TV stand like this one:

Stil STUK 2053 CHBL - Black Glass Cantilever TV Stand on eBay (end time 18-Oct-09 17:28:50 BST)

Because I was thinking of getting it, but only if it can be mounted on a Cantilever stand

Well it does say it does up to 50". My mother-in-law has this stand but only has a 37" samsung LCD. It is a nice stand. I am planning on buying this or a similar stand soon for my 42" Plasma which is a fair bit heavier, around 30kg if memory searves. Its basically like any other bracket attachment which goes on the back of the telly itself then the TV hangs on the stand. I reckon you should be fine given the manufacturer guidlines and its should be mountable without any trouble too.

LOL, I'm from Glasgow too! Anyhow, the reason why i'm asking is that i'm guessing that the LED design would be different from the LCD design at the back and hence, the bracket might be incompatible?

I'll pitch in on this one as another Glaswegian!

It'll be fine, its a standard mount pattern on the back of displays.

Its actually quite a small stand in the flesh, a 50" has some considerable overhang.

Hi,

Yes the stil TV stand will support a 46" samsung LED, the stand is supplied with spacers to ensure you can run wiring to the connections on the back of the TV.

Yeah it is possible, but I don't think that they'd hav any reason to change to mount pattern on the back of the TV significantly. Otherwise no one would be able to mount the TV on anything [thats already out there in the market].

Mind you, I wouldn't put it past any big corp to do that specifically to force folk into buying a specific stand/bracket.... just a thought.
