What floor stand for MA RS1

Hey guys
I recently got RS1s and saw the GS10 floor stand at £293 and that is way out of my budget and was wondering if there is any better deals out there or cheaper alternatives for a carpetted floor. Budget depends on quality and limited to £100

Re: What floor stand for MA RS1

I have RS1's mounted on Atacama Nexus stands filled with kiln dried sand. Very stable and firmly planted to the floor.

Re: What floor stand for MA RS1

Thanks anpictum
The RS1s are 185mm wide and 240mm depth and the atacama nexus is 145mm wide and 180mm depth. Isnt there a risk of it topling over.

My rears will need to be firmly planted because there will be a chance that the speaker wire or speaker will be brushed against. I should really find a better place for them, but im pushed for space and they will be brought in and out of there position when I need them, so they will not be tucked away safely when in use.

Re: What floor stand for MA RS1

Hi,

The atacama nexus speaker stands should be OK, there is an optional top plate which has 200mm depth, that would increase the stability, but even with the standard plate the stand will be OK, the most important thing to consider when buying a speaker stand is to make sure the base of the stand is larger than the base of the speaker which in this case it is, so you should be OK.

If you have any further queries do not hesitate to ask.
