How to tell max weight supported by a tv stand

Hi all,

have been looking at tv stands and paying attention to the max weight supported.

However my search may have been ended as I have been given a very nice mahogany tv cabinet.

Only thing is I want to be sure that it can support the weight of my tv. Is there any reasonably accurate way to estimate this?
I'm clueless as to how this might be attempted.

Any ideas?

Hi,

The only way to do this is to test it, so you would have to get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them if they have tested this product.

Have a read of my new guide 101 things to consider when buying a TV stand.
