I have just bought the Rht g950 stand but i'm struggling to get any degree of "virtual surround" I'm not sure if i have it connected correctly to my blu ray player, can anyone advise on settings.

The 950 is very loud and has a terrific sub and although my room is not the ideal shape (23ft long and 11ft wide) and the tv is wall mounted towards the end of the long wall, i can detect no surround effect. Certainly no better than what my pioneer sxe plasma throughs out and worse than my old Yamaha ysp 800.
